Romania is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful countries in Eastern-Europe. The country offers a dazzling display of cultural and artistic treasures showcasing majestic castles, medieval towns, great hiking and wildlife. Many of these treasures offer visitors a chance to experience a medieval past long since lost elsewhere. Many of these natural treasures offer tourist attractions and vacation experiences unique in Central Europe: medieval towns in Transylvania, the world-famous Painted Monasteries in Bucovina, traditional villages, in Maramures, the romantic Danube Delta, fairy-tale castles, the Black Sea Resorts, the majestic Carpathian Mountains, natural hot spring spas and much more.

Romania is also a country that is rapidly transitioning into a regional economic powerhouse. In 2007, Romania joined the European Union. With the accession to the European Union, Romania finds itself faced with a myriad of challenges and tremendous commercial opportunities. These opportunities can be visual seen throughout the country as development changes the landscape. One of the big challenges facing Romania is find a way to manage the change so that it forges ahead without losing its natural treasures.
