“I am responsible for your medical care and coordinate the Health Care Program for all PCVs and PCTs in Romania, primary care for illnesses and injuries, coordination of tests and referrals, coordination together with OMS for Medical Evacuation. I conduct medical orientation for PCTs, Medical Site Visits and medical administration including periodic evaluations of the health/living conditions at Volunteer sites, the medical budget preparation and monitoring, coordinating and monitoring the Medical Staff. I have been with Peace Corps Romania since 1993.”

“As Peace Corps Medical Contractor, I’ve been working in the medical team of PC Romania since 1999 as a physician. I’m here to help trainees and volunteers with all medical needs they might have during service, such as: physical exams, diagnosis, treatments, providing medication and medical information, phone calls, appointments, keeping contact with OMS in Washington. I graduated from the Medical School in Bucharest in 1991, I received Ultrasound training in Mannheim-Germany, I participated in Medical Overseas Staff Training for PC in Washington, D.C., and after almost four years of training I became a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist under supervision. I work to keep all of volunteers in good physical and emotional shape, and encourage them to enjoy being a volunteer in Romania.”

“I have been working with Peace Corps Romania from February 2005. I am an administrative assistant with the medical office. My job consists of helping PC volunteers with medical appointments, supplies, accompanying volunteers to different clinics in Bucharest for their medical appointments, and to ensure that they get proper care. I am also in charge with all the administrative work in the medical office. I like my job very much. I have an engineering degree and my hobby is palmistry.”
