Volunteering in Romania
Volunteering comes from the Latin and translates into "will"; as in doing something for ones on free will. Today, a Volunteer refers to someone who works in a community or for the benefit of the natural environment primarily because they choose to do so. By definition, a Volunteer does not get paid or receive compensation for services rendered other than reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses.
